Hattie is 47 years old and has suffered from depression most of her adult life. At the moment she is feeling particularly low in mood, is having difficulty sleeping and is finding everyday tasks such as eating and washing and dressing difficult. She is receiving treatment from and being monitored by her community psychiatric nurse has regular contact with Hattie. Hattie is currently unemployed and lives alone. Her parents died when she was a teenager and she has no other family near by.
You are required to select a field specific case study and write 2000 words related to this case study which meets learning outcomes 2, 3&4.
Learning outcome 2: describe the concepts and principles of health surveillance and health promotion related to your field specific case study.
Learning outcome 3: Apply theoretical understanding of fundamental nursing practice through the application of different approaches to relevant field situation.
